Twilight

I saw the movie "Twilight" about a week after it came out. I heard about the movie and the books from a friend of mine who is currently working her way through the books. She is crazy about these stories and spoke very highly of them. I thought, what the heck, I generally enjoy a good vampire flick. Vampires in films are usually very sexy and mysterious, great features for characters to have in my opinion. So after being hounded about it by my friend, I decided to check out the movie.
My initial impression is that it was certainly not a bad movie, but it is a teenage centered movie. I am 25, therefore I like a bit more, shall we say, SEX, in my movies. There seemed to be a little too much hands off for my taste, but I do understand that this is part of the story line, therefore I am not that torn up about it.
I did like the settings in the film and the characters were very dynamic as well. The story line was interesting as well as different, something that is difficult to find these days with the slew of new movies coming out all the time.
My biggest complaint is that I didn't really buy the relationship between Bella and Edward. There didn't seem to be enough chemistry there. I like a movie such as this to put me in a state of awe and leave me yearning for the adventure and sensuality of it all. I like to get caught up in vampire movies, the fantasy of it all. This just didn't draw me in the way that say, "Interview with a Vampire" or "Bram Stoker's Dracula" did.
Overall, for a teen-centered story, I would say it was a great movie. I supose those of us who want a little more "bow-chicka-wow-wow" in our story will have to wait until the film version of "Breaking Dawn" comes out.
